I just finished talking with Jennifer Bjorhus via telephone. She is
working
on a series of articles about H-1B and wants to talk to people who know
they
have been replaced by H-1B. There are some conditions that must be met
so
please don't call her if you don't meet all the conditions. She has
hundreds
of people that can tell their own horror stories, that's not what she
needs.
Remember, she is in Silicon Valley and lots of people have horror
stories,
but almost no one wants to go on the record.
I think programmers and engineers had better start thinking of
themselves as
Teamsters, not executives. In other words they need to start manning the
picket lines and bringing out the baseball bats. Hiding in a dank corner
and
reading computer books isn't going to solve this attack on our
livelihoods.
Here are the conditions that must be met:
* You have credible evidence that you were replaced by an H-1B. If you
lost
your job but your company kept their H-1Bs that's not good enough for
her.
She only wants to talk to people that can prove that an H-1B took their
job.
* You are willing to have your name in the newspaper. If you want to be
anonymous don't bother calling her. SHE ONLY WILL TALK TO PEOPLE THAT
ARE
WILLING TO GO "ON THE RECORD".
